The PredictTB consortium held its fourth annual meeting virtually on October 13-14, 2021. The goal of the meeting was to take stock of the project’s progress over the last year and make plans for the final nine months ahead – the project will come to an end in July 2022.

While on the first day of the meeting the whole consortium gathered, the second day focused on the EDCTP-funded part of the project. Central topics of discussion were the completion of the clinical trial in both China and South Africa, the currently ongoing sample and PET/CT scan analyses to predict the outcome of tuberculosis treatment, the progress of the development of a point-of-care device to measure biomarkers for treatment outcome prediction, and the state of the different sub-studies conducted in the project.

Significant progress was reported, and the consortium is in a good position to continue to move the data analysis forward and produce valuable results during the final months of the project.
